Carnkie Camera Club is based in Carnkie near Redruth, Cornwall. We are a fun, lively club and extend a warm welcome to anyone interested in Photography regardless of skills, ability or equipment. 

 

We do not take ourselves too seriously and we like to think we offer something different to other photography clubs.  We aim to provide a friendly relaxed place where like minded people can meet and develop their interest in photography.

The club normally meets every Wednesday at the Carnkie Institute from 7:00pm to about 9:00pm. We have a full all-year-round programme, though of course there is no obligation to attend every week.

Our meetings are largely informal with everyone encouraged to participate. A typical club evening will usually be divided into two parts with the first dedicated to a presentation or tutorial on some aspect of photography followed by viewing and critique of members photos. In the summer months we like to arrange photoshoots every other week or so in the local area.

Membership costs just £12:00 per year payable in April (or pro rata for people joining later in the year). There is also a small fee of £3:00 per meeting, or £2:00 each for multiple people living at the same address), which covers the venue hire, refreshments etc.
